In a landscape of repetitive responses and artificial language, original writing is becoming harder to find.

My students learn to go beyond surface-level reading and reliance on other people’s interpretations, whether from YouTube videos, TikTok opinions or AI-generated answers. Students need to read for themselves: to ask intelligent questions, find the evidence, and develop ideas they can defend.

I’ve worked in education for more than ten years, and have worked with all kinds of students. Some are looking for that extra bit of support to get to the next grade, some are looking for a challenge, some are looking to overcome barriers such as SEN or a disappointing school experience.

I am a specialist in AQA and Edexcel exam boards, guiding students to master the A Level transition. My approach is knowledge-rich, with frequent in-lesson feedback and a particular focus on writing. We work towards prose that is clear, concise and precise, alongside the necessary subject knowledge and critical analysis.

Examiners are increasingly looking for people with confidence and originality. My students ditch AI copy-and-paste, and go beyond Cliff notes and the teacher’s interpretation. They learn to stand on their own two feet. It’s only an expert teacher who gets them there.
